There has been a lot of confusion surrounding the installation process of a new evaporator fan motor for KitchenAid (and other Whirlpool Corp.) refrigerators. Whirlpool provides one replacement kit that is applicable to three different styles of refrigerators. Depending on which style refrigerator you have, you may or may not have to use one of the two jumper harnesses included in the kit to connect the fan motor to the main control board.
