Need some inspiration for short stories? I've started a new feature on the SciFi Ideas website called "Starting Point". Every week I post a picture and a snippet of prose to get your imaginative juices flowing. What happens next is up to you!

Hi all, I run a website called SciFi Ideas, which aims to provide ideas and inspiration to sci-fi writers. This month I'm running a special event called Alien August. There's a competition to come up with new alien species, and I'm on the look out for guest articles too. Get in touch if you're interested!
