In case you or a friend missed the crowdfunding campaign for Leonard the Lyrebird, or you've suddenly come into money and need a way to get rid of it, I've opened an Etsy store for pre-sales of our beautiful Blue Mountains children's book here... xox

Very excited to tell the world about a little project I've been working on in collaboration with the wonderful Blue Mountains artist Eloise Short... We are creating a children's book about a singing lyrebird named Leonard, set in the Blue Mountains - and we need your help to make it happen!

If you have any kind of connection with the Blue Mountains, or even if your kids love Australian bush animal stories - click the link below to pre-purchase a copy by making a pledge! No risk involved - you make a pledge, you get a book. Or lots of books. Or a print. Or an artwork... or plenty of other rewards. 😊 Please share!

Question: Did you write your own terms and conditions or did you get a lawyer to do them? (or at least read over them?) If so - any recommendations?

I never thought much of my name, but written like this - by the very talented letterer +Carla Hackett - I reckon it looks pretty awesome. Needless to say I've wallpapered my website with it and am currently embedding it in my new email signature... Is a tattoo going too far?

Hi guys, I'd love some quote/pricing advice for long 1000-1200 word articles... I've got a fair idea of what I would charge for a long article but wondered how the copywriting rate would compare with the 'journo' rate... In the publishing world journos are paid around 50c a word (often  less) and up to $1 a word (which is VERY rare) - 70c a word is a great rate if you can get it... Is it the same or less when writing under the 'copy' banner? (keeping in mind interviews would be involved.) What are your thoughts? Thanks so much!

Hi all, just wondering - what kind and combination of clients makes your copywriting business most profitable? Lots of small businesses, a few big agencies or half-half?

If you're ever stuck for print ad inspiration, have a scroll through these... Lots of clever ideas.

A valued client has asked: "Can you spend an hour coming up with a few tag lines for xxxx..." - how would you respond, keeping in mind it's a valued client?
