Best bbq ever!!! I got the pulled pork and my husband got the ribs. Both were delicious, but he ribs were definitely mouth watering. And the portions were huge! The green beans were so good and the sweet potato fries were definitely more of a dessert because of the brown sugar 😉

This is hands down the best barbecue I've ever eaten! When we first arrived there was a lengthy line to get in, but everyone we spoke to said it was worth the wait. I'm so glad we stayed. The food here is amazing, the atmosphere is friendly, and the staff are constantly checking to make sure you have everything you need.

Best ribs I've ever had. Didn't require any sauce, they were that good, but the sauces were excellent as well. Sweet potatoe fries were also amazing. The other meats we tried were good, but nowhere near as good as the ribs.

Simply put, Pappy's is in the upper echelons of best BBQ in St. Louis, if not the country. I highly recommend the Ribs and the Burnt Ends are some of the best I've ever had. Get there early in case they run out of your favorites.

This is ridiculously great BBQ best I've ever had. We split one of the larger meals and that brisket is my new favorite food.If you bring that to the Burbs of Chicago the line will be longer then the one I waited in. Nice staff knows there BBQ .I plan to go watch the Cubs play your Cardinals this summer and eat crazy amounts of your food.Great Job

I grew up in Texas and have traveled all over trying BBQ. Not saying it's bad, but have had much better. Not keen about being shoved thru line, paying a high price (if it's exceptional bbq I have no problem with a few more $$, but it's not) and having to sit like your in a school cafeteria next to people you don't know and who care less about showing table manners. Drove over an hour and could have had better BBQ out of my own kitchen. I can say I've tried it. Live and learn.

Great BBQ for the Saint Louis area. I've had BBQ pretty much everywhere around country, and I am a native of the Saint Louis area. I lived there for 29 years, and was always underwelmed by the local bbq scene when compared to KC, Austin, Memphis, and other bbq towns. It's a bit over hyped. Sides were average at best. The ribs were fairly good, but not fall off the bone. Burnt ends were decent, but nothing compared to KC. The biggest turnoff is the lack of real wood smokers. They proudly put their propane smokers out front, but they should be using a wood fired smoker to produce the flavor depth that wood provides. The food was out quick and service was good. I thought the portions were great for the cost of the food. I'm not saying that I won't be back, it's just not the greatest bbq place I've ever been to by a long shot. It's great for someone who's not a connoisseur of bbq.

Ribs are wonderful!!!! Backed beans have Avery nice 'twang'. Cold Slaw is different and good! Worth the price... And then some. Go early to avoid long lines. Choice of music is soo appropriate!!!
