This such a sweet description a young police officer in New Jersey shares her encounter with Bob Dylan.

Upon reading the article below in August I was certain my head would implode. It prompted me to write the about the issue and submit to some forum I was on. The battle cry was raised. My thoughts were not popular nor welcomed. Ive inserted it below that you may read and decide for yourselves. Link to article that alerted me also provided. The blatant double standard applied by our government is an insult to the American public complete disregard for our well being, open active discrimination against those of us that own dogs on the Vicious Breed List
If you agree please share where you can to try and wake people up. If you disagree; convince me. In my mind there is way too much wrong here and it needs to be addressed.

SERVICE DOG EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMAL TEAM
RESERVATIONS

It's an interesting caveat this matter of the governments service dog program constructed with safe sane mandates. Animals being temperament tested from start (for suitability) to finish. Let it be understood this piece is directed to ESAs in equal measure. Dogs are to be trained by PROFESSIONAL trainers and tested by same. Every step of the program potential candidates removed for various reasons. Yet; the Service Dogs and respective handlers that roam amongst the public freely have absolutely NO required testing for suitability ability temperament determined by a PROFESSIONAL. No required training. No mandates of across the board no matter what job SD is used for DESENSITIZATION. Possibly the most critical aspect of a SDs preparation for the call to work. Proof of insurance before going public. No form of a registry or licensing that it would be a simple matter for law authorities airlines restaurants hotels etc to verify indeed this team is authorized to bear the (universal badge patch whatever identifying as SD Team) and granted all the privileges that go with. Thus insuring the safety of the general public which they have every reason and right to not only expect but DEMAND. Additionally periodic renewals; testing abilities of the team; health and general care of SD validated with Veterinary paperwork with a cleared bill of health and up to date on all shots, routine testing for absence known issues (lyme heartworm etc) review of current in force insurance documentation.
I have a handicap placard. Do you realize I have to satisfy more mandates for the state of New Hampshire to be in possession of that placard than a Service Dog team? I have to share and have it be a matter of record more personal information. When that placard is issued it's not forever. It needs to be renewed every 5 years. On occasion I forget to hang it. I've been accosted and blocked. These SD teams are not required to identify themselves and upon being approached the battle cry ACLU commences. I dont have such resource.
I own a Doberman. A breed on the "vicious" list and frankly understandably so on occasion. I've 40 years never a bite incident. Yet I have to jump hoops to satisfy my agent. But I'm grateful to jump hoops as many jump hoops and more no matter are denied the right to purchase home and or property insurance. There are some with these animals may train our hearts out spending a fair amount of money training  under professional trainers and yet might well not be able to obtain insurance on our own property and homes with ZERO recourse. ACLU isnt interested. But a Doberman SD team may not be refused to rent the apartment next door. No way of knowing training temperament training status of health no matter may not be refused. May not be refused the seat next to you on a plane. There will be no insurance if a mishap occurs because it isnt mandated trust me they aren't going to lay out the cash you and I do if not mandated if they flat out refuse to spend the monies to properly train a service partner. Also flies free. Airlines MUST comply no questions asked. Think on that next you go to fly. Truly these teams have every badge of being menaces amongst the public you can think of.
Im the last wanting the government in the peoples business. However if ever a venue needed government intervention and regulation this screams for it. These teams have been given free rein far too long and have failed miserably at self regulation. Its dangerous and ridiculous obviously a double standard from what the government demands for their service dogs and what we the public are forced to endure and be in close proximity no questions allowed our well being be damned. And finally its discrimination. Period.

#CommentaryVetsPets FireworksPTSD

For what its worth worth... I'm posting a comment I made upon reading yet another article on dealing with our pets and their angst regarding fireworks. Truly our Vets deserve and we owe this simple but what would so effective with just a simple tweak on our (the public) attitude toward the admittedly glorious awe inspiring American tradition of fireworks displays.

I mean absolutely NO disrespect just an observation!🤩 An even more helpful (patriotic too!) action would be to support and advocate an existing and / or organize in your community the policy of having public only displays of fireworks while doing away with fireworks in private sector all together. The fact is we have a whole cross section of the American population that now suffer the horrible burden of having PTSD acquired directly by serving you and I and our country episodes triggered and endured specifically by fireworks. These service personnel both active and not so afflicted will almost unanimouslyl share how fireworks once such a joy are now in their top 3 idea of worse nightmares. The setting off of fireworks the sounds and scents and flashes that are all part of more oft than not serve as triggers for nasty episodes with their PTSD. They deserve our respect and exercise of common courtesy. Such a simple fix for such a horrific malady. Not to mention the thousands of injuries sustained flooding and overwhelming our emergency rooms and monies out of pocket spent to pay for the injuries associated with firework mishaps and whilst doing what should for ALL of our best interests be left in the capable hands of those educated and licensed in the venue of fireworks and shows. Let the professionals take this one

So tonight I showed my son in law the x ray of metal in Robert's stomach. Serious as a judge he says Bry I see Robert's twin brother in his stomach. How is this possible? I said you must be stoned. He said I am very but I know what I see. Well I went and looked at the x ray again. Too funny. I cropped the area clear as day I see it now. Just above the metal z I see the nose . Once you see that it focuses in. A sleeping puppy! What a riot!
