It's not a new model, but thanks to its outstanding hardware the 2014 version of the Fire HDX 8.9 is still one of the very best mid-size tablets on the market.

At one point it seemed the Galaxy Tab A series, including the 9.7-inch version we just reviewed, would be the replacements for Samsung's Galaxy Tab 4 series, but it's looking like this company has a more complicated plan -- information coming out of Asia indicates that Samsung has another group of Android tablets in the offing, and these will also have designs similar to the Tab 4 models.

The AluPen Digital from Just Mobile isn’t a run-of-the-mill stylus. Unlike most capacitive models, its slender tip gives the impression of writing with a pen while also giving the user greater control.

This might be the pen you and your iPad have been looking for.

These two models appear very similar and their prices aren’t too far apart, so choosing between them isn’t easy. But I'm here to help.

Follow this link to read our comparison of these two, written after extensively using both tablets.

It stuck around for a long time, but the 2012 version of the iPad mini has finally been dropped by Apple. This company typically keeps its older tablets around after subsequent models have been introduced, but the original iPad mini had an unusually long lifespan.

Apple doesn’t provide an easy way to expand the storage capacity of the iPad. Fortunately, other companies are filling in, like Strontium with its iDrive USB 3.0 which can add up to 64 GB.

This accessory plugs into the Lightning port on the tablet, and an iOS app gives the user access to everything that’s stored on the drive, like movies, images, music, or any type of file. Even better, the iDrive also has a full-size USB jack so it can also be plugged into a PC or Mac to securely transfer files.

Sales of the iPad have been anemic for over a year now, but there have been rumors that Apple will jumpstart demand with a larger model, possibly called the iPad Pro. The company unveiled new features in iOS 9 this week that make this a virtual certainty.

Samsung’s Galaxy Tab A 9.7 sports a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 16 GB of built-in storage, and a recommended price of $299.99.

The engineers designing this Android tablet made some potentially controversial decisions to get the price that low. Read our review to see whether this device is a success.

This is a great place for semi-casual dining. The food is excellent, with an emphasis on Italian dishes. The service is fast and polite, and there's a wonderful roof deck.

I get takeout from this restaurant all the time, and I'm always satisfied. The employees are polite and they have my pizza waiting for me when I come to pick it up. Out of the dozens of times I've ordered from this place over the last 10 years there was exactly one mixup, and the manager gave me a free pizza and then very quickly made the one I'd actually ordered. It's not gourmet pizza, but that's not what you expect from Pizza Hut. It's decent and cheap. I have no complaints.
