June 6-7 in Madrid
Free DID: This is shaping up to be a very interesting event for developers
With "satellite" conferences in several cities in regions around the world, +TADhack, June 6-7th in Madrid is something I am definitely looking forward to. We should be broadcasting live at least on June 6TH at 12 Noon EDT (6PM CEDT, 5PM BST) and hope to connect some of the satellites as well.
Meantime, if you develop in the telephony space, look into the Hackathon which you can join from home, at one of the satellite locations or in Madrid.

TADHack is a global event, we have satellites running in:
Sri Lanka, check out their excellent webinar series
Malaysia by Celcom
Philippines by Globe
Chicago by the Illinois Institute of Technology Real-Time Communications Labs
Pune
Fuenlabrada by  Universidad Rey Juan Carlos ICT Department, School of Telecommunications
Your Home - we accept remote entries.

TADHack will run over Friday and Saturday the 6th and 7th June 2014. But check with your Satellite as they may be running pre-event training sessions like at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos ICT Department, School of Telecommunications on the 20/21 May.

The developer resources are being updated continuously, so keep an eye on them daily.  Hacks can use Telecom APIs, WebRTC, messaging, location, payments and much more.  You'll even be able to hack your calls!  Each sponsor has 2 $1k prizes to award for hacks built on their platforms, and each of the Satellites has one $1k prize guaranteed from the global event, plus whatever local prizes they allocate. We want to share the love as widely as possible with developers around the world.

In other news:

Oracle ran a webinar today with their partners Alerant and Optare reviewing their developer resources.
Magyar Telecom has joined as a Telco Supporter, meaning they're looking to trial some of the hacks from TADHack along with Celcom, Telstra, Truphone and US Cellular.
Google will have Andre Pinto, a core WebRTC engineer on Chrome, on hand to help with WebRTC hacks.
Geeks Without Bounds will have Diggz on hand for the Humanitarian development theme.

Sign up for the hackathon to attend onsite in Madrid; or at one of the satellites; or remotely enter the hackathon from the comfort of your home.

TADHack is more than just one event on the 6/7 June, we will be doing in-depth weblogs on the hacks over the summer and into the autumn; as well as sharing progress on their commercialization.  We want to help create some telecom app developer millionaires!
