Google is [finally] focusing on NAMES of websites rather than URLs!!
NameGirl has been saying for quite some time it's the name of your brand that matters, not the URL. A distinctive, unique, easily FOUND name is much more important than the URL. Why? We all use a combined browser /search window which permits us to just type in a few letters. Very few people for example, type in "Rue-La-La" Just typing "R - u- e" and then clicking on the results is much more common. Distinctive names allow you to be found easily and quickly. Perfectly matching dot-coms are no longer necessary for people to find you -- which is the whole purpose of SEO. We want to be on the first page so people can find us.

"... today we’re updating the algorithms that display URLs in the search results to better reflect the name of websites, using the real-world name of the site instead of the domain name, and the URL structure of the sites in a breadcrumbs-like format..."--Google, April 16, 2015 (emphasis added)
