9 out of 10 drug makers spend more on marketing than on research and development. These companies spend billions paying doctors to prescribe their medications and use their devices. How much has your doctor been paid?

GM has confirmed 50 deaths caused by the company’s defective ignition switch problems along with another 75 serious injuries through the program established by Kenneth Feinberg.  GM’s acknowledgement of 50 deaths from the tragic defect is more than 4-times the company’s original estimate.

And that number is likely the tip of the iceberg.

GM ignition switch lawsuits named "Product Liability Case to Watch in 2015". These cases are proceeding down multiple tracks. A number of cases have been consolidated in federal court. Langdon & Emison has filed injury cases in Missouri state court in the City of St. Louis.

"We believe that we'll be able to proceed on a faster and more efficient track than the federal cases, and we're hopeful about getting to fact discovery, depositions, etc., perhaps more quickly than the consolidated federal cases," Brett Emison told Law360.com.

Langdon & Emison continues to investigate GM ignition switch cases. Contact us for a free evaluation of your case. We frequently work with lawyers across the country to associate on cases. Feel free to contact us about how to participate in the St. Louis litigation.

There could be a hidden danger at your child's playground. The recycled rubber mulch that is supposed to protect your children could be making them sick.
NBC Nightly News recently reported on growing concerns about the safety of playground mulch made from recycled rubber tires. The report noted that mulch contains the same chemicals originally found in tires, which are not removed simply by shredding the tires. Rubber playground mulch is made of ...

After more than a decade, a Texas woman has finally been cleared in the death of her fiancee after GM admitted his death was caused by the GM ignition switch defect.

GM knew the death was caused by its defective ignition switch, but never told Candice Anderson or Texas authorities and instead allowed Anderson to be criminally prosecuted and plead guilty to criminally negligent homicide.

This is just another example of GM outrageous conduct regarding this recall.

Langdon & Emison represents clients across the country in GM ignition switch lawsuits. We also work extensively with referring lawyers. Contact our office for a free evaluation of your case.

The wrong-doer's silver bullet?  Forced arbitration.

A defense lawyer for corporations, collection agencies, debt buyers, and creditors calls forced arbitration a "silver bullet" to for companies to avoid responsibility by killing a claim before it begins.

Sunday's Kansas City Star featured an article about Missouri's role in exposing the dangers of the Trinity ET-Plus guardrail system. These guardrails are supposed to keep motorists safe, but this particular design can cause the guardrails to inflict harm rather than protect from it.

The article also discuss Brad Abeln's death. We're honored to represent Brad's family and others in cases involving defective Trinity guardrails.

Missouri has been at the forefront of this safety issue and was one of the very first states to ban the use of these guardrails on our highways. Missouri is one of only two states to have commissioned a study to measure the severity of the defect, finding that ET-Plus guardrails are nearly 4-times as likely to be involved in a fatal crash than the previous version.

We continue to represent clients across the country in Trinity guardrail lawsuits. Contact our office for a free evaluation of your case.
What's the Problem with Trinity ET-Plus Guardrails? Guardrail end terminals are supposed to absorb the brunt of an impact and turn the rail itself away from the striking vehicle like a ribbon. However, in 2005, Trinity secretly began to work on modifications to its ET-Plus, which reduced the ...

Virginia has sued Trinity Industries over its defect guardrails as Trinity begins testing is secretly re-designed guardrails.  For its initial test, Trinity chose a striking angle that would not adequately engage the guardrail and would ensure that no intrusion into the vehicle would result.  You can see the "glancing blow" in aerial footage of the test.

Langdon & Emison is investigating Trinity guardrail cases across the country.  Contact us for a free evaluation of your case.
Virginia has become the first state to sue Trinity Industries over thousands of secretly redesigned, improperly tested, and potential deadly guardrail systems. Virginia's suit follows an October whistleblower trial in which a federal jury found Trinity had defrauded the federal government of ...

Thanks for your work. I saw the video of the guardrail spearing the driver. It is frightening to see a Trinity designed guardrail on my travel routes.

The federal government is requiring Trinity Industries to run more tests on its defective ET-Plus guardrail end terminal after a federal jury found the company defrauded the government out of $175 million.

Now Trinity says the media can't watch its test.

Are you surprised? We're not.
