This is my third experience at Anvil's since moving to Cary just over a month ago and I can Honestly say each time I've been Blown Away! I had to go to Philly for a Funeral and while I was there, I made a point to go to the Cheesesteak joint that put Philly on the map... Been Craving them ever since! Make no mistake, aside from the shouting, soup Nazi style, this is a real deal Cheesesteak joint, Fresh meat chopped in front of you on the griddle to the fresh baked bread... in fact a Cheessteak is all they serve, in a dozen variations. Each time I've been here I've tried a different one, but it will be hard to choose a different one than the one I just ate from now on! I called in a Steak Supreme with Hot Peppers... my tastebuds are ALIVE! Soft crusty bread, steamy steak, carmelized onions and peppers, the hint of marinara, a little heat to pick up the tempo, and gooey cheese come together like a symphony played without flaw in an acoustically perfect venue... it was awesome! If you are in the area, give this place a try, you will thank me after you are gorged and more than satisfied!
