Tip of the Week: Measure Social interactions on your website
Posted by +Daniel Waisberg

Did you know you can measure how people share content from your website? This can be very useful when deciding where and if to place social buttons on websites. Below you can see one of the reports you will have access to once you implement this solution. Read more about implementation details at goo.gl/PiZtrJ

"Hairy Pawturr"... these kids got wits :-)
But on another note, wow the power of social!
Dan Urbano, a married father of two from Newton, Mass., learned his lesson on just how powerful the Internet can be, all thanks to a cat. When Urbano’s 7-year-old son Remi kept pleading for a pet cat,...

Wow, a cat meme that goes viral without including an actual cat (yet)!

Why “Big Data” Is a Big Deal
Information science promises to change the world.

"DATA NOW STREAM from daily life: from phones and credit cards and televisions and computers; from the infrastructure of cities; from sensor-equipped buildings, trains, buses, planes, bridges, and factories. The data flow so fast that the total accumulation of the past two years—a zettabyte—dwarfs the prior record of human civilization. “There is a big data revolution,” says Weatherhead University Professor Gary King. But it is not the quantity of data that is revolutionary."

“The big data revolution is that now we can do something with the data.”

For an afternoon treat- frozen yogurt hits the spot! This place is easy to navigate...but a bit overwhelming when a bus-load of school children swarms the establishment!

A native Texan myself, it's hard to find a good BBQ place in DC...and one that serves plenty of Shiner beer? This is your place! I'd stick to the brisket for the true good flavor as the sausages and BBQ sandwich are a little salty and lacking in good smoky flavor. Stay late at night and venture downstairs for great live music in a cozy atmosphere. It almost makes you forget you're in DC...almost.

Nutella latte. Enough said! Why more coffeeshops didnt think of making this great treat, i'm not sure, but Pound is a such a great little cafe that I'm happy they are alone in this genius. The fact that they turn into a wine bar + bistro in the evenings is also amazing. The ultimate grilled cheese is fantastic. Highly recommend!

Acqua Al 2 is easliy my favorite restaurant in all of DC. The unassuming decor and location is part of the tuscan charm and the waitstaff is knowledgeable and pleasant. The food of course completes the picture with amazing pasta, salads, and main entrees. The wine options are plenty and cant go wrong with any of them. The single most amazing dish I had there, and anywhere in DC for that matter, is the rosemary-infused-olive-oil marinated steak that comes out on a warm plate in 2 different cuts. This dish is not even on the menu....it is a special that they have only when their butcher friend delivers the locally raised farm meat. Although it comes at a hefty price, it is hands down on of the best steaks i've ever had...anywhere in US!
