Some of my favorite #farm tours are with the local universities. Earlier this week we had several #ag students from my alma mater #montanastate here on the northern #Montana prairie. It’s always such a pleasure to meet the next generations of #farmers and see the same energy and excitement I felt 30 some-odd years ago. #futureoffood #organicag #organicfarmers #bobquinnorganicfarmer

It's been a few years since we've had successful #dryland #sweetcorn; soaking the seeds a couple days before planting seems to have made all the difference in comparison to the plot directly next to this one where the seeds were dry when planted. My grandmother used to say corn would be "knee-high around the 4th of July." Her family was from Iowa where corn is much more common, but this year ours was right on schedule. #eatwhatyougrow #groworganic #bobquinnorganicfarmer

It's been about a month since the First International Conference of #Wheat Landraces in Bologna and I'm still buzzing! I'll be sharing some of my favorite lectures and presentations (all of which are available to the public at wheat-landraces.ifoam.bio) over the next few weeks and I invite you to join me. For starters, check out my opening address here (https://youtu.be/CMercXrCDj0?t=2m36s) for an introduction to this historical event. #wheatfortheworld #bobquinnorganicfarmer #tbt

Home for a day from an eventful trip to New York City where I met with Henry, June and some of their colleagues from GrowNYC Greenmarket at the only KAMUT® pizza place in the city, PN Wood Fired Pizza—yes, it’s as good as it sounds! I also spent a couple days at the Summer Fancy Food Show and met Riccardo Felicetti from Alce Nero, one of our long-time makers of KAMUT® pasta in Italy. And be sure to check out a great article by another amazing new acquaintance, Tatiana, on my blog: http://bobquinnorganicfarmer.com/healthylicious-bliss/

Chad and his family have plans to build closer to the #farm and the first step is digging the well for water. Good water is hard to come by here on the prairie so we are praying for a successful outcome.
