You can see where Diane Ross got her Operatic version that she has been milking in concerts over the years. It was done here by Laura Nyro- the greatest, to my mind

Actually Diana's version was rearranged by the songs writers- Ashford and Simpson especially for her and recorded and hit no1 on Billboard over 2 years before this recording by Laura

I am pissed that sometimes it takes hours to get a google mail. friends send , employees send  mails and they do not appear for hours. Google has gone way down in search as well

I had never heard Laura's version. As always - her touch, intelligence, soul, idiosyncratic in the best way possible. She was the greatest. I went to high school with her. She was a little older

Story
Introduction
I am a teacher with the school system in New York. I am an artist, scenic designer, and curator. I have had many exhibitions in different media, particularly painting, sculpture, digital art and photography.
I designed sets and props for many shows for theater and dance companies. I have curated, co-curated, organized and co-organized many exhibitions in New York and around the world. After Art School, my first exhibition as director and co-curator at the Gowanus Memorial Artyard was the Monumental Show, called by Kay Larson on New York Magazine (May, 1981) the "Event of the Season".  In recent years concentrated on exibitions with political and social themes, including Art Against War, a show of posters and multimedia of artists reflecting on the war in Iraq. It showed on many websites and eight galleries around the world. I am finishing a doctoral program at Teachers College, Columbia University. My interest is in artist networks, artists' initiatives, non-institutional frameworks of art production and exhibition. I am a director of www.cultureInside.com, a website that is a social and collaborative network for artists. It is based in Luxembourg. Dominique and Gila Paris and I are organizing a series of exhibitions there, the first one to open on June 25, 2009 called "Rooted" .

Los Organos, Vichayito, and Mancora are one of the primary beach areas of Peru. They are lovely beaches on the Pacific in the North of Peru in the Piura region. The area is a desert, but with wonderful beaches and picturesque vistas on the ocean. There are many hotels, My favorites are Pena Linda, El Destino bungalows in Vichayito and the Los Organos Beach Hotel. The food in Peru is incredible. Food is as important to Peruvians as to the Japanese, and to my mind as delicious. Prices are very reasonable. Pena Linda is about 50 dollars per day. A little difficult to get to, Mancora and Tumbes are close to the Ecuadorian border. Well worth the effort.

The Atami Club is a hotel, as well as a freestyle housing condominium that surrounds the hotel. the hotel is beautiful with access to two beaches, Palmarcito and La Leona. There are several freshwater pools, saltwater pools on the ocean, in a gorgeous spot on cliff overlooking the Pacific. The rates are reasonable. I loved it so much bought a house in the Atami Club development, which are very reasonable as well. then Atami club is a gated community which is guarded 24/7 by several armed guards. El Salvador has a bad reputation, from the 1980's. I have found it to be as safe as any other Latin American country. I have never had any crime committed around me or my property. The people are warm and giving. The food in the port is delicious.La Libertad is the primary port in El Salvador. The Lobster, Boca Colorado, the local variant of Red Snapper is a great, delicious fish.
