What does the 'purport' mean in reference to the website?
I think it means the supposed meaning with relation to other verses in the text.
Then it looks more like a twisted mind's interpretation of the verse rather than what the verse is saying. So it's technically not from a sacred text.
Yep, its mostly ISKCON's interpretation of the it. Yet its doesn't make "sacred texts" any less bigoted than they already are.
