I needed to integrate a stepper motor into a project I'm working on, and quickly found the EasyDriver by Brian Schmalz the easiest way to do so. To have a nice, small package I decided to make a custom MSP430 board for this purpose. As you can see on the images, the dimensions of the board ...

I just came across this sweet post over at /r/electronics, linking to American Radio History's archive of Popular Electronics magazine – all 45 years of it in crisp 300dpi pdfs. Not to mention the magazines are OCR'ed and searchable. popularelectronics_magazine_archive ...

June of this year, we wrote about the Wi-Fi Sensortag being available end of 2015. Looks like Texas Instruments lived up to their promise. They released a video showing the CC3200 Simplelink Senortag at CES 2016. The SensorTag web page still shows the Wi-Fi version as “Coming Soon”.

Rei Vilo, tipped us about the ArduCAM. The recently released module is a new version of their Aptina MT9D111 based camera with a TI CC3200 controller on it. The board is probably based of TI's WiFi camera BoosterPack reference design, the only difference being that the Launchpad is now replaced ...

The MSP-TS432PZ100 target board is for those kids who have exceeded the prototyping capability of the MSP432 Launchpad. The target board takes in an MSP432P401RPZ micro-controller in the 100 pin QFP. The design provides both 20-pin and 10-pin Cortex-M debug connectors and support for various ...

I stumbled on this nice little NFC design while writing about the NFC Wearable Design Challenge a few days back. This patch is one of the prizes listed on the challenge. You will be one of the lucky few if you get it, as TI lists it as a reference design and does not intend to sell it.

TI's “Launch Your Design” blog announced the Wearable Design Challenge today. This contest is based around the RF430FRL152H NFC chip which is an ISO15693 sensor transponder, the stuff used for detecting and reading NFC tags. Share your idea or concept using the above chip on the TI E2E Launch ...
