Social Media in Toledo is being used more each day. Few use it as effectively to promote their businesses than a friend of mine, Johnny Rodriguez. He gets it. More importantly...he USES it!

Shows why almost every business needs blog content in addition to a website!

When blogging for leads you must share HELPFUL content on a REGULAR basis.

This does 2 things:

1, Keeps you in front of your potential customers.

2, Helps you prove you know your "stuff" and are a resource they should listen too.

Is GMB or "Maps" the best route to report a biz with a fraudulent address? (anyone with a link, that would be appreciated)

Anyone aware of which division in a state's Attorney General's office that "fraudulent advertizing" would be reported? (I would guess "internet" would still fall under "general advertizing" but not sure.) Thanks in advance!

This is one way "shady" businesses are using non-existent addresses and it's working.

I called Google, explained the address is fraudent and doesn't even exist.  I gave them the correct address of the biz. (I had double-checked with the county street records the address did not exist.)

I'm very familiar with both areas and I still tried to see it on Google Earth - nope! (Clearly a residential neighborhood and the pin is in the "middle" of the street, usually indicating a problem.) Only then did I place the call having all of the above facts.

I received an email saying they won't be doing anything because they determined that it is a, "real business with a valid address".  That's literally, a physical impossibility. But obviously it wasn't worth their time to do such a valid confirmation. There will be many more of these....I've seen several.

I'd try deleting both the address marker and business using Map Maker using the Spam criteria. Provide evidence in the Comment field. You might get denied by a Listings Editor but click I Object when viewing the denied edit and it should be fixed eventually. Might take a couple months ..

Ranked among the top 0.1% of people talking about Google, finally got Level 2 for Google Local Guide.
I earned 5 points by sharing my local knowledge on Google and got my golden ticket to Local Guides events. Let’s celebrate!

Great content for local businesses about applying Local SEO strategies to show up in Google search.
A good local SEO effort gets you some rankings and customers in your city. A great effort might get you results from some adjoining cities, too. But few local SEO campaigns result in new business from across an entire state. Even rarer is for someone in this industry to write about state-level ...

☛ Local Website/Pages  -

A local biz is opening an office in another state and will have a location and local phone for this office.  Is it best to just add a "localized" page to existing website  (page with local content to new area) or create a separate site? (We plan on creating separate citations & directories for this second office & using the "localized" page OR url to new site for address link in new directories.)
