For some self promotion: #openFrameworks now also works in browsers thanks to #Emscripten. Follow the link for the thesis, example and details.

Emscripten/lljs/asm.js are not just for gaming. They are also great for ripping cloth.

And for people who want asm.js support in Chrome (AKA faster Javascript), you may star this feature report.

A little dubious press announcement, but still worth the mention. Unreal Engine 3 - Emscripten enabled.

Usually it boils down to demand and doability. The demand for UE3 on other platforms might be minimal (in comparison) and even compiled to asm.js it will be faster than all mobile devices.
And of course they already had a OpenGL ES 2.0 version (iOS I think).

Alon gave a talk about Emscripten at mloc.js. Here are the slides: http://kripken.github.com/mloc_emscripten_talk

Some interesting bits about where Emscripten is heading.

It seems to require a beta key to register.

Here some recent performance numbers (asm.js included)

Finally got around to running new Box2D performance numbers. This time I concentrate more on VMs than compilers, and things have changed rather a lot over the past year or so. I also cover AS3, asm.js, and Dart.

Well and there is some criticism on asm.js. Of course from Google. While I disagree mostly, there are still some valid points in there.

Looking at https://github.com/kripken/emscripten/wiki/Emscripten-SDK whatever is in Ubuntu is certainly not a recent release.

One of the pains of Emscripten is, you pretty much have to convert every library used by yourself (or find someone who already did it).

There are currently plans about a central repository not unlike e.g. Debian, where library sources or even emscripten compiled library code can be easily installed.

Nothing is set in stone, so if you want to contribute or provide your opinion use the following wiki entry:
https://github.com/kripken/emscripten/wiki/PrebuiltLibraries

For those not following Twitter; Alon did a news post lately. Check it out for goodies like LLVM 3.2 support.
For Ubuntu users stuck with 12.10 (AKA Quantal) the easiest to upgrade to LLVM 3.2 is to add 13.04 (http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ raring main restricted universe multiverse) as a repository and updating the clang package to 3.2. Afterwards you should immediately disable the 13.04 repo again.
