We love it when divers tell us that shark sightings are on the increase: http://ow.ly/vEf4W - In 2011, the Bahamas banned shark fishing and prohibited the sale, import and export of shark products, turning its territorial waters into a shark sanctuary. Photo via Stuart Cove's Dive Bahamas

+Mark McKeon May problems harm earth today.
None as bad as the waste in tanks in Wa. state and so many other places that are leaking into water sources.
Isn it more important to clean up past problems first?
Im not important in the future of anything now. Knowing that people who are better at understanding the things we can and need to fix are .
Banning coal use in USA can happen , but will the coal then be sold through our government to other countries ? I know it will be sold. Forcing change can only happen with a government and milatary.
I sure want to at least try to keep my sons from fighting over climate change.
As long as money is an option greed will allways win. Thanks for your disscusions. Good luck.

The new Australian Government has tragically decided to turn back time and throw 15 years of extensive scientific and public consultation aside to suspend a unique network of marine sanctuaries. Help us ensure ocean protection remains a priority in #Australia and the world: http://ow.ly/vakch #MarineParks

Protecting Our Ocean Planet - One Dive at a Time℠
Introduction
Project AWARE Foundation is a growing movement of scuba divers protecting the ocean planet – one dive at a time.

Calling all divers! Join the global movement of divers protecting the Ocean planet. We’re focusing in on two major ocean issues – Sharks in Peril and Marine Debris. Truly, there are many conservation issues converging on our ocean planet at once, but we’re concentrating on these serious problems where scuba divers are uniquely positioned to directly and positively affect real, long-term change in these two areas. If you're interested in taking action to protect the ocean planet - JOIN US!

Project AWARE empowers thousands of divers in more than 180 countries to work together for a clean, healthy and abundant ocean planet. Project AWARE Foundation is a registered non-profit organization.
