A neighborhood environment, not the least bit stuff, but knowledgable mixologists and great prices. One beer, one French 75, one martini and one Aperol spritz for $19 is much cheaper then you're going to pay at the bars noted for their fabulous cocktails. The crowd is a mix of cocktail drinkers and neighborhood folks in for a Bud Light and a hamburger. You're not going to find a more congenial and affordable place to get a first rate cocktail unless you require a certain stuffiness with your drink.

Good vintage music and friendly, mostly stylish crowd. This is where MidCity hipsters go basically. Good dance space as well.

Opened in late 2010, this Mid-City bar from the founder of Garden City bistro Coquette brings a pleasantly high-low blend to New Orleans’ cocktail culture. T. Cole Newton’s top-shelf liquors are infused with the same esoteric ingredients as other mixologists’ (why, yes, there are notes of honey and hot sauce in that bourbon cocktail); but, here, they’re paired with down-to-earth prices, great barbecue and a solid jukebox.

Pimm's, WIFI, non-smoking policy, dog friendly and hipsters!? Sold. Thanks 12 Mile Limit for being a block away from my new flat.

Get ready to be surprised. This hidden dive bar is home to some of the best bar snacks and cocktails in the city. Plus, no one hates a $5 custom cocktail. Sunday and Monday nights are smoke-free and I think they're looking to add more smoke-free nights. Also - I heard they're launching a Sunday biscuit brunch!

Awesome craft cocktails. Dog Friendly. Serves a cool mixture of sandwiches, barbecue and cupcakes! Neighborhood is a bit shady which is why you have to be buzzed in at night. Cool vibe and great music.
