I've watched this dozens of times and I've raised the question far more than once. NASA is underfunded, which to my mind is nothing short of a crime against humanity. As you all could probably imagine, I am not American but that does not bother me. I think this is not the most significant agency the US has, I think it is by far the most significant structure alongside CERN. What I've said a million and one times that I, not being American, would love to donate to NASA so they can carry on researching. I am willing to give away my sleeping time and help with software development and engineering without wanting anything in return. And I am far from being the only one. A penny? Are you kidding me? Here's a dollar. No, here's 5, wait-there's 10... 20... 50... From me, from the guy across the street, from the guy sitting next to me on the train... Why is no one taking action?

We are eating our seed corn. NASA, as a publicly funded institution, has been limping along for decades.  Where is our leadership?

And while I was on the shuttle at London Gatwick, trying to make it in time and not miss my flight, this happened on one of the monitors, above the doors... In other news +1 for the souvenir shops at Dublin airport-I saw XFCE on the screen at the cash register.

OK updating F18 to F19:
Update all packages - check.
Try fedora-upgrade for the first time - check.
Compile latest Kernel from source - check.
Make sure everything is working - double check.
Success.

Gnome 3.8 is much better than 3.0. Mind you it still took me a while to fix the css and ditch the whole "touch screen wannabe". Come on - if I wanted a tablet, I would have bought one instead. Apart from that - not bad.

Rant time:
I need a new laptop-decent specs since I don't intend to buy a new one soon. In other words-quad core i7, +8gb of ram, full hd screen but not larger than 15-16 inch and any graphics card other than +NVIDIA for obvious reasons. All that seem sensible and reasonable I think. BUT NO!!!!! NO SUCH LAPTOP EXISTS!!! Why do all manufacturers throw +NVIDIA in their shit?!?!?! So after much digging I saw the Vaio T15 which had all the ingredients. Plus I've been utterly pleased with my current Vaio. But NOOOOO it's practically impossible to find it anywhere in Europe. And once you find it, you find out that it's not exactly the T15 which you wanted and it's 3 times what it costs in the us. Well F**K THIS SH!T!!!! #firstworldproblems

+Alexander Hristov Yeah, they make some pretty decent machines, and they are a premium Linux OEM.

+David Belch for the raw material yes. Though what we need to compare is enriched uranium to thorium and in that case thorium should win by a few orders of magnitude. Also you need to keep in mind that currently thorium is virtually free as in the sense that most factories need to pay expensive dumping fees for it (at least here in europe).

Afaik thorium currently is only a byproduct and is not actively mined for. Means it will imho only get cheaper as demand increases.

The bigger cost factor in LFTRs is afaik the salt being used, and the graphite core in dual chamber reactor versions.
