Fully autonomous driving has always been the goal of our project, because we think this could improve road safety and help lots of people who can't drive.

We're now developing prototypes of vehicles that have been designed from the ground up to drive themselves—just push a button and they'll take you where you want to go! We'll use these vehicles to test our software and learn what it will really take to bring this technology into the world.

A thought-provoking commentary on sexism in gaming.

Volunteers at a nearby hawk banding station caught a Northern Harrier, which is a bit of an uncommon find for the Dead Creek area in Vermont. Apologies for the poor video quality.

The Youtube series, "Other Places" does a brilliant job of demonstrating how expansive video games have become. I can't quite put a word to it, but there's a feeling that video games could never emulate. It's that feeling that a world could exist whether or not the player is there. It's what people refer to when they personify cities (e.g., a "living, breathing, city"). I think developers are starting to tap into the fact that minute details, often taken for granted, are sometimes the most important. Lucky for us, games continue to evolve in ways that are more identifiable to us, yet still retain the fantastical environments that we can only imagine.

"Understanding that there is no conscious reason for these feelings puts mental illness on a par with other illnesses. You wouldn’t ask a woman with breast cancer why she had it, or why she was ill – saying 'I have breast cancer' is a pretty satisfactory argument for most. Mental illness isn’t any different, and it’s just as much of a scary, alien thing to sufferers than other illnesses."
