Huge, satisfying lunch plate. I didn't know what to order so I just asked for something good. She directed me to a combo plate for $14 with fresh fish, slaw, macaroni salad and rice. It was really tasty and enough for two to share as long as you're both not ravenous. Or for one extremely hungry tourist, it'd be great too. Note that there is no seating here.

My husband got the ahi and said it was some of the best he has ever had, I had the chicken and just a warning it is all dark meat. Not for me but delicious sides and quick service.

Get a quick, fresh seafood lunch here, or stop here to get amazing Kalua Pork by the pound.

Poke selection is pleasant and well executed. Wasabi poke and avocado poke were hits. Pupu platters were ok: what they were supposed to be but a bit bland. Fish is excellent quality. Hours are short however, so get it when you can and find a fridge to stash.

This place lives up to the hype. We went there three times during our trip and will most likely be the first stop we make our next trip to the island. We tried the kimchi poke, the shoyu poke, the maui onion poke, the wasabi poke, the kimchi tako, and the lau lau lunch plate. Needless to say it was all delicious. My favorite was the wasabi poke, the kimchi poke and tako, and the lau lau. The place is cash only but the big save next door has an atm for convenience. There's no seating but what's better than grabbing a takeaway for a meal on the beach? One of the best meals that we had on our trip. Places like these are where everyone should go when visiting Kauai.

Few issues with the Koloa Fish Market… You might think that because the nonexistent space inside this “market” personnel could compensate by being nice. Well, think again. Every time I was there (went twice) I felt that they’re making me a favor by allowing me to buy. CASH ONLY!!! On a Saturday while waiting for my order I asked about what time they open tomorrow. The cashier told me, 10am. Sunday they were closed. Ooops! Gotcha! Next time I should read all the signs, tricky answers should not be taken in consideration… My mistake! Today went there around 4:50pm. Door sign was saying until 6:00pm. They were inside, laughing, and they had products on the shelves. “We’re closed” got shot at me and here I am. Another Gotcha!! The food is good… when you can get it… I won’t go there again, ever. I vote with my dollars and I won’t help or promote this kind of business practices.
