John Lang is a New York Attorney whose practice focuses on trust and estate litigation, commercial litigation, and white collar crime defense.
John Lang is a graduate of the College of the City of New York and Fordham University School of Law, where he interned with the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York, assisting with organized crime prosecutions.
Upon graduation, John enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and saw combat in Vietnam as a member of the 26th Marine Regiment during the Tet Offensive.
John Lang served as an Assistant District Attorney for New York County and tried dozens of felony cases before juries. He was Senior Trial Counsel in the Major Felony Program of the District Attorney's Office and was later promoted to Deputy Chief of the Frauds Bureau, where he specialized in white collar crime investigations and pioneered Medicaid fraud prosecutions. He was appointed a Special Assistant Attorney General in the Special Prosecutions Bureau of the New York State Attorney General's Office, serving as chief assistant and lead trial counsel to a special prosecutor investigating official corruption in Upstate New York.
In 1991, John Lang joined law firm of Loeb & Loeb LLP as a partner in its Litigation Department. He has tried civil and criminal matters in federal and state courts.
In 2010, after almost two decades with Loeb, John Lang left to open his own law office, Law Offices of John F. Lang, bringing to the most challenging of cases a level of expertise reflective of his distinguished career. John Lang has been honored with an "AV Preeminent" Peer Rating (5.0 - Highest Rating) by Martindale-Hubbell. John has also been recognized by Law & Politics' Super Lawyers as one of the "Top Lawyers in the New York Metro Area." He is a Fellow of the Litigation Council of America, a trial lawyer honorary society, and has received a "Superb" rating from AVVO (10.0, the highest rating) the consumer site that rates professionals.
