Large portions of classic Chinese standards fuel this local mainstay with a simple setting.- Google
"Good soup, good eggrolls, good orange chicken, good steamed chicken."
"My favorite Chinese food in the city."

We order from here every few weeks and it's pretty reliable. Good soup, good eggrolls, good orange chicken, good steamed chicken... really everything we've tried. The food doesn't hugely blow me away or anything, but for the price and taste we are pleased enough that this has become our go-to place for Chinese food.

My gold standard for Chinese food is Peking Duck. Arbitrary? Maybe. Accurate, absolutely. And City Lights hits the spot. There is a severe shortage of decent Chinese takeout in DC, and this is one of the few exceptions. That isn't to say it will wow you, but let's be honest, you'd be hard pressed to find the wow in DC Chinese food without heading out to the suburbs where the real Chinatown now is (stupid gentrification!).

Handy that they deliver and they let you make modifications to your order (switching rice for noodles, etc.) but I wasn't that impressed taste wise. Just your run of the mill salt-water-tasting Chinese food.

Food was good. They delivered to our hotel. Quick delivery. Expensive though.

They got my order wrong and gave me sweet and sour shrimp. I told them I orderd General to'S shrimp and they said its the same thing. I was on the phone for 30 min telling them how its not the same. I should not had to do that. If it was the same it was would not be called different.!!!!!! NEVER WOULD I ORDER FROMHERE IN MY LIFE.

Good chinese food and they deliver! Some healthier options and brown rice, but also some good non-healthier options. Always had a good meal from here - I like the beef and broccoli, beef and chicken, general tsos and sweet and sour chicken!

Not bad. Really nothing particularly distinctive about it, but no red flags either. The General's chicken is lightly battered crispy and pleasantly spicy. The steamed broccoli side is a nice touch particularly if you are there alone and can't order a vegetable side.

I think this place has been here for years and I understood why when I went to eat there. The medallions of pork are amaing, everything here is amazing. This is my fave Chinese place near Dupont.
