Raven Tools Site Auditor changing baseline crawl for comparison
What I like is that the site auditor will compare the current crawl to previous crawls to show you how much you've improved the site! You can actually choose which crawl it's using as the baseline for comparison like this:

I'm trying out Do Share: http://bit.ly/1h6W0p5

You have to be logged in, but it does allow you to schedule posts to your profile and communities in addition to pages.

Seems solid. Anyone else using it?

Google Helpouts Are Official ... but Currently Available Via Invitation Code Only

Helpouts is a game changer and its here - almost!

Thanks to +Craig Tumblison  and +Bobby Situkangpoles  (  http://goo.gl/VWqlZ7 ) I discovered the official website for Google Helpouts  ( https://helpouts.google.com/welcome ) ...

I'd posted about Helpouts on Jul 25th - thanks to +Gideon Rosenblatt   ( http://goo.gl/A64hv2 ) ... but at that point there was no confirmation ... but ... this official website makes it real ! ... well almost :-)

Currently its only invitation code based access ... here's what the official website Home page says:

"Helpouts isn't available yet, but we're currently inviting people with expertise across a number of topics to be able to offer Helpouts when we go live — and to make money sharing their skills and knowledge with the world."

"If you haven't received an invitation, but are interested in Helpouts, tell us. We'll let you know when we're live and accepting more applications to give help."

And, here's an excerpt from the Help Page (Get started with Helpouts):

You'll need an invitation code to sign up as a provider. The invitation codes allows you to set up an account and create Helpout listings. Visitors without a code will be able to give us their contact information for future outreach.

For those who may not know much about Helpouts, below is my key takeaway in the July 25th post (from Techcrunch):

... a marketplace that enables individuals and small and large businesses to buy and sell services via live video. With the capacity to connect merchants and consumers on both an immediate and scheduled basis, ...

Search Update: Google+ Events are now indexed in Google Search. I actually noticed this before last week, and I believe it may have started with the recent Google Calendar update. Previously G+ Events were almost the last type of G+ content that had yet to be indexed in Google Search & well... just so you know, now they are.

I've previously had this discussion with a few people & explained that Events were not indexed, but the completed Hangouts are, so I thought I'd make this change clear. This doesn't prove that all events will be indexed, but certainly high authority profile events should be.

A side aspect to this might be, that an HOA Event setup early & receiving some good authority, through shares & engagement, will likely rank higher in search potentially providing another level of audience reach depending on the topic.

Which Social Networks Should You Care About in 2014?

It's hard to believe that twenty thirteen is over, we saw many ups and downs in social networking landscape, many new apps like Vine  and Instagram have become popular while Facebook (with 1.4 Billion profiles) is facing a little decline in younger demographic users. Twitter (with 500M+ accounts) and GooglePlus (333M users) are steadily swelling but still social media seems a new giant to many of us.

And when it comes to knowing your audience on social media it seems that business are still wondering which network should they focus on? So to help them out +Jeremy Waite Head of Social Strategy +Adobe has created this handy infographic that takes a closer look at the data to determine where the social savvys spend their most time.
