I got there about 4:30 in the afternoon and ordered the shredded beef enchiladas. The service was fast and the food was very good. The people seem nice but it was a little difficult to communicate because I don't speak Spanish. But my waitress spoke enough English that we could communicate just fine. It seems like authentic, down home, Mexican food, though I've never really been to a small town in Mexico. A mini market is in the same building with the restaurant.

This is a real find if you want a casual authentic small Mexican restaurant experience. The food is excellent and homemade. It is tasty and spiced nicely. It is excellent value. Meals are served on paper plates. Mexican beer is available. Local Mexicans eat here. Mexican television in the background. Friendly service. I reccomend.

Their gorditas & tostadas are really good but the carne de puerco en chile is not the salsa they use is the one that they just pour out of a can already made... Their caldo de Mariscos is horrible it hardly has any Mariscos the taste is bad.. The mojarra is bland with no flavor.... If you want to eat bad and waste your money go here but if not go somewhere else....

Food was authentic. Everything we order on menu was good. They even have soft drinks from Mexico. Food pricing was reasonable. Feed family of six for $50. No need to speak spanish. Service was attentive, but prepare to wait on your food, because it is prepared fresh to order.

See la rancherita is a so called mexican restaurant but to me is not more than a fast food joint that charges too much for a plate of food and not even fill the plate to make a kid's belly happy I payed $10.×× for a bistek ala mexica and all I got is some dryed Pease of meet with a slice of tomato and two strip of jalapeño so if you want real mexican food go the mexico

Love this place, the owner is a really cool guy who has some Mexicans on staff that really know how to make excellent tacos. If you want to go anywhere else in southwest FL and think you are getting real Mexican food, forget about it, stop kidding yourself and get some real tacos. If you want greasy slop from some Iguana "mexican", taco bell, or some other chain with counterfeit "mexican" made and invented by gringos, then this is not for you. If you want a piece of paradise transplanted directly from Mexico into Florida, then this is your place, however, if you're not sure what authentic Mexican food is, you may be surprised, but trust me you will love it. Arriba la Raza!!
