Mois Navon has written a new book. He writes: "After over a decade of research, writing and lecturing on the subject of the biblical blue dye known as tekhelet, I have published a book of my essays entitled, "Threads of Reason." The book addresses the various halakhic issues surrounding the use of the dye from the Murex trunculus mollusk to re-institute the long lost mitzvah of placing a blue thread in one's tzitzit. In addition, there are articles which address the fascinating topic of aesthetics as part of religious experience, particularly as it applies to the blue thread in tzitzit."

This is a very funny video about the cuttlefish.

This is a very interesting article by Mendel Singer on Understanding the Criteria for the Chilazon. He breaks down the requirements for the chilazon and addresses each one in an organized and logical manner. http://ow.ly/scEpG

In this video, you can view Dr. Naama Sukenik from the Israel Antiquities Authority present her findings on fabric from the Murba'at caves in the Judean desert. The presentation was made at Ptil Tekhelet Conference held in Jerusalem in December 2014.

Very interesting article about a new Murex fabric discovery: "In a rare discovery, scientists have confirmed that an almost 2,000-year-old piece of fabric found near the Dead Sea contains remnants of the Biblical blue color known as tekhelet". http://ow.ly/sakjP

I was not able to hear much of the webcast of the Ptil Tekhelet conference yesterday. This morning they posted a message saying: "Please check back in the next 24 hours and we will have links to all the recorded lectures and panels."
