It's important that you perform a pre-trip inspection before every load. Failure to do so is not only a safety hazard, but a hazard to your career! I talk about pre-trips and their importance at the C1 blog here: http://blog.c1training.com/pre-trip-at-truck-driver-training/

Team driving and solo driving both have their pros and cons. Many prefer solo driving because they don't have to share such a small space with someone else. Others like having someone around because they never get lonely. Here are some more advantages and disadvantages of team truck driving:

We really try to emphasize the importance of G.O.A.L. to our C1 students, as it can make or break your career. Getting out and looking ensures a safe back without any accidents, while failing to G.O.A.L. can land you in hot water with your carrier. I cover why I think G.O.A.L. is so important in this blog post: http://blog.c1training.com/get-out-and-look/

A recent Little Rock grad had this to say about our program...

My overall experience here at C1 Truck Driver Training was exceptionally beneficial in helping me to learn the basic safety lessons that would help me prevent any accidents on the road in the future while behind the wheel of a CMV tractor. Also, the trainers taught me more detailed skills that taught me how to maneuver my tractor trailer in extreme situations.

Always nice to hear feedback like this!
