Lots to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. Hope all of you have a lot to be thankful for, too. Happy Thanksgiving!

Often hear from readers how they removed gluten from their diets and they just started feeling better physically. I think many people may have issues with gluten and not even realize it.

Another great, well researched post from the Healthy Home Economist. Vitamin C is mainly from ascorbic acid  and synthesized from corn syrup. And where there's corn there's usually GMOs.

Many of you may be invited to dinners for the holidays. Here's a post I wrote to help make the holidays happy for everyone, "Cooking Gluten-Free Meals for Guests".

I'll let you know that when someone invites me over to their house for dinner, I don't mean to do it, but I know I must cringe. The thought of someone trying to prepare a gluten-free meal for our family scares the begibbies out of me. I'm not going to lie or sugarcoat it.

There's been a 275% increase in gluten-free mentions on menus but less than 4% of restaurateurs and chefs could answer 4 questions correctly about celiac disease, gluten and hidden sources of gluten. Got to make you think a bit before ordering your next meal out at a restaurant.

Have you ever gone to a potluck dinner or family gathering and felt like you had the guard the food your brought to avoid cross contamination from the rest of the food being served? I know I have. :) These may help as a reminder to others that the food is gluten-free.

Just getting started posting on google+. Wanted to make sure more people with food allergies or intolerances as well as those with celiac disease and following a gluten-free diet were aware of things like my first post about the herbal supplements. Ingesting small amounts of gluten or a food your intolerant to on a daily basis would wreak havoc on your body. And the part that's so insane (more insane than the companies perpetrating this fraud) is that we're only taking these supplements to help us feel better.

The NY Times reported on a study performed by Canadian researchers who tested 44 bottles of herbal supplements sold by 12 companies. Some of the pills labeled as herbs were often diluted — or replaced entirely — by cheap fillers like soybean, wheat, nuts or rice.

How does this affect those of us with food allergies or those of us following a gluten-free diet? Now I'm starting to rethink all those times I had a reaction to a new supplement. Always thought it was corn which I can't tolerate, but who knows what really might have been in them.
