One thing we do well is communicate with our patients and caregivers. Our doctors actively write a blog post each month on common retinal diseases. July is UV Safety Month. Did you know very bright lights such as sunlight or its reflection in the ocean or desert may worsen macular degeneration? The retina can be harmed by high-energy visible radiation of blue/violet light that penetrates the macular pigment found in the eye.
