This week Home School Teacher Sue Huff hosted an Educational Activity to Mission San Juan Capistrano. See her write up on the trip and link to photos:
The 236 year-old Mission in San Juan Capistrano was a great venue for 24 Mountain Peak students and parents to see the Mission with a guided tour by a volunteer docent. This is California's first Mission and we all enjoyed hearing the stories of the settlers, including Father Serra, Indians, pirates, California's first vineyard, the preservation process, the great earthquake, and how they survived.
It was a beautiful day with the swallows nesting, all the flowers in bloom, and the gorgeous sunshine warming us all.https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.415355568476206.102837.113537601991339&type=1
