Allison V-1710-27 Engine Restoration
Joe Bok and his team took great pride in restoring this Allison
V-1710-27 engine. This engine traces its history back to a starboard engine mount on an early Lockheed P-38 Lightning during 1943. It was removed for service and sent for overhaul by the USAAF San Antonio Depot on 12.31.1943. After that it remained as a "zero" time engine in storage for more than 65 years. What an incredible time capsule.
