I had the foresight to grab my tablet and the charger, along with my Kindle before leaving the house. So given that I was connected, but limited to a finger-tapping keyboard, the writer and the social media queen in me needed to write and use Facebook and Instagram as my publishing platform.

I needed to document my experience for me, and to perhaps lend a glimpse into what others with a chronic illness — something way worse than me, which was relatively short-term — might also deal with on a regular basis.

This is the unfortunate truth about what #googleplus has become. The divorce of #hangouts from #youtube seems to have squashed the platform's growth. Yet it is #google, therefore some attention to the platform is still required. But it has become less relevant in our day to day #socialmedia thanks to #phishers and #catfishers like this.

It was a short-lived experience, because I saw that no matter how much I tried to make it personal, it came across as fake and self-promotion.
