The USS Coronado, the 2nd Independence-variant Littoral Combat Ship (LCS 4), was christened on January 14, 2012 during a ceremony at Austal USA in Mobile, Alabama.  The Independence-variant LCS offers maneuverability, stability, endurance, shallow draft, three weapon zones, and a flight deck larger than any other U.S. Navy surface combatant. GPS has come a long way during the last 40-plus years. In January 2015, General Dynamics combined Advanced Information Systems and C4 Systems to form a new business unit called General Dynamics Mission Systems. We serve those who perform the toughest jobs, in the most challenging environments, in the most unpredictable situations. We develop, build, harden, secure, test and integrate complex communications systems, networks and products and provide the highest level of support solutions.
