Today I am running an experiment on battery life between my MacBook Air (2009 edition) and the new Samsung Chromebook (2011 edition).

First, I am using the Air in real use case activity, with no unusual stresses or hiding of apps to conserve battery. I've been using it for the last 65 minutes after it was at 100% battery, having been plugged in overnight. So far it says 47% of battery is left. Then, once this laptop dies (and it will), I'll switch to the 100% charged Chromebook and use it in the normal way, until it dies. Obviously, that will be much longer, but I am eager to see the gulf of difference.
