- That is not true Quinton. As a prospective bee keeper, I am very interested in everybody's input. It seems to me that experienced bee keepers are very skeptical about the product. That's handy to know. If I'm going to spend $450 on something, I wanna be damned sure it will work.Apr 12, 2015
You'd be better off spending $250-$300 for a complete hive WITH all the bee equipment included. This product is purely detrimental to hive health(the surprise of empty honeycomb is stressful to the hive: "there's a leak in our hive where how and why?") as well as the easy mistake of draining nectar or uncured honey which will go bad(the only forms of honey that can expire) and poison anyone unfortunate enough to eat this normal looking honey: then the explosive reactions start! As well as any mites and SHB that were inside the comb getting put in your honey jar or on your pancakes and the final thing I can remember is that when using this device you're encouraging robbers to harass your hive for the exposed honey that from a hive "not smart enough to keep their honey under wraps". This product seems like it would be really amazing for bees, but alas it's a bigger novelty than any other piece of bee equipment available to purchase..Apr 12, 2015
