The windows are sublime text, manually tiled! And at the bottom is Nick Winter's Telepath Logger.

I'm not entirely sure what the point of this is (it's just a shortcut to Beeminder.com) but if it's convenient for you or you have ideas for things to add to it, please let me know!

Why startups should mind a public changelog: as a commitment device and for the powerful signaling value. Beeminder would not exist without having done so. New article on the Beeminder blog: 1000 Days of User-Visible Improvements.

Deriving the equation for universal Pessimistic Presumptive Reports in Beeminder. AND A QUESTION for people who understand Google+/Picasa better than me: What's the easiest way to take a picture with my phone and upload it to somewhere with a public permalink. Like "anyone with URL" type security -- no login needed to see it, but also don't want to share it with the "Public" circle and have it spam everyone I know, like presumably this one is doing.

I'm thinking of writing a pedometer app for Pebble (something to replace a Fitbit, for example) but it sounds like Pebble will only be able to count my steps while the watchapp is running. Is that true? If so, would it be feasible to make a watchapp that the user could be expected to keep running 24/7?

No they haven't yet built background monitoring or multi tasking in, so yes it needs to be running (so make it a watch face). There is currently Pebble Pedometer and LetsMuv, for other pedometer apps to look at.

This is genius and I immediately ordered one: https://onlycoin.com/?referral=kF6qcO99

What's especially ingenious that, since you can't use Coin to clone another Coin-cloned card, now suddenly you damn well better use Coin-cloned credit cards yourself to prevent waiters and whatnot from using Coin to clone your card!

PS: To be clear, I know bad guys already have credit card skimmers and I wouldn't seriously expect many would-be bad guys to start committing credit card fraud just because Coin makes it especially convenient.
