Eat your chocolate!
This is a simple yet often misunderstood nutrition tip. These 9 kisses are 1 serving & depending on the flavor all 9 are about 200 calories. That fits nicely into most people's daily diet, including yours. Remember you c...

Share the road. Treat others as if they were your child. It's that simple.
Last week I went for a short bike ride. I was out for a little less than an hour & in that short time here's what I experienced: I almost got hit by two cars. One pulled out from a parking spot without looking. Luckily I was...

Fuel well! #triathlontraining
In endurance training, carbs are king. This is because they're the body's preferred source of fuel for quick energy. But if you train for extended periods of time you'll need to refuel because there's not enough storage in ...

This was so fun & I'm really inspired by how my athletes did. They showed true camaraderie & all gave 100% on the course. Great job, guys!

We had a great morning at this fun triathlon! All of our athletes did well. We saw improved times, mental barriers were conquered & we had three age group awards. Most of all it was really fun & we're proud of the sportsmanship each of our triathletes displayed. On to the next goal. Tinman here we come! #firecrackersprinttriathlon #ontrackfitness #tinmanhawaii

Carbs are king in endurance exercise. They break down quick for energy, but need to be replenished if you're exercising for long periods. Here's the breakdown:
*1.5 - 2.5 hours of exercise consume 30-60grams/hour. A 20oz sports drink or large piece of fruit are examples.
*Over 2.5 hours of exercise consume 90grams/hour. A 20oz sports drink & two energy gels are examples.
Practice what works best for you during training sessions. Training the digestive system is part of preparing the body for race day. ‪#‎ontrackfitness‬ ‪#‎triathlontraining‬ ‪#‎fuelyourbody‬

We’ve been working with Yogamour and Marie-Josee for the past three years and it’s been a wonderful experience each and every time. My company has asked Marie-Josee to work with our athletes so they stay flexible and relaxed during our training programs. Many of these athletes are new to yoga. Marie-Josee takes this into consideration and provides a safe environment for them to feel at ease. She also gathers information beforehand to gear the yoga to fit the specific needs of the class participants. Yogamour has always gone above and beyond. Not only are the classes geared specifically to our needs, but they also meet us in the location of our choosing and even have made suggestions on how to improve the experience. This past class we had with Marie-Josee she suggested moving to a quieter, more secluded spot (in the park we met) to allow for more relaxation. She then taught a wonderful class under the stars that our athletes are still talking about. Marie-Josee has displayed nothing but professionalism, kindness and she always goes above and beyond what’s expected. We will continue to use Yogamour as a part of our programs. I highly recommend Yogamour and Marie-Josee for anyone who wants a great yoga class. -- Emily Collins, Owner of OnTrack Fitness
