Saw the Dark Tower trailer before Spider-Man: Homecoming (very cute!) today. The Dark Tower looks much better than I was expecting. I remember getting about halfway through the first book when I was a kid (so, prior to the 2003 revisions Stephen King made). I didn't remember it having anything to do with Earth or that people crossed into different worlds at all. But looking at Wikipedia's synopsis of the plot, I realize there's very little I remember about it at all. I just know I was extremely flattered when someone reviewed my book on Amazon and compared The Last of the Ageless to The Dark Tower. :)

This movie looks like it's going to be totally badass. But you all know by now that I'm all about anything that looks apocalyptic. :D What do you think? How close will the movie stick to the books?

The first four episodes of Castlevania ROCKED. It's a complete story arc, but is only just the beginning... It introduces some familiar names for those who played the video games. It also features some beautiful voices. It's animated, and graphic violence crops up at unexpected moments. Give it a watch without any young kids in the room.

Jared from the +Pornokitsch blog calls The Last of the Ageless "a very impressive, very intricate world, packed with lots of ideas. Feels like a throwback to the unapologetically 'alien' settings of SF/F YA that I grew up with"

Check out the review of 25 other books that entered into the Self-Published Fantasy Blog-Off competition at the link below!

These four will make it to the next round:

Dead Letter by Benjamin Descovich
The War of Undoing by Alex Perry
Under Witch Moon by Maria Schneider
Irons in the Fire by Antonio Urias

Follow along and find lots of great science fiction and fantasy novels from indie authors.

If you're looking forward to the days of cybernetic implants, this is your first (noninvasive) step... :D

What must traffic laws be like in Ohio, I wonder? Apparently they must not have laws about turning on your lights if it's raining and your windshield wipers are on. Surely no minimum speed on the interstates. Or laws about signaling, apparently. Also I guess they don't have those useful signs that direct slower traffic to use the right lane. I suppose they must not encounter hills much, either, since they don't seem to realize they have to push the accelerator down harder uphill. One wonders how they ever survive outside their own state.

I'm not evil, I'm insane and pretty angry,
A more accurate descriptor would be mad.
So kindly check your rhetoric, your demagogic verbiage.
To draw my full attentions would be bad.
Because I'm mad!

Perhaps you think I'm evil for the things that I have done, but I just don't have the time or will to justify each one.
I'm a man of many masters, and I live a paradox: Bending the world to my new order, just as I incite chaos.

This looks amazing! I expected this to be a tiny teaser with one or two shots. But they showed us way more cool stuff than I expected!
