Excrutiatingly noisy. Rough but efficient staff. Great burgers. The fries are amazing. Gazpacho excels among the best. Not for first dates.

Old style bar with table service for food. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We were told we could sit anywhere and found a cosy table in the back away from the crowded bar. Menus were handed out right away and water (no ice) and bread soon followed. My group ordered three different items, a pumpkin filled ravioli, and hamburger and a steak sandwich. The raviolis were fantastic covered in a Alfredo sauce. The burger came on a onion bun buy was ordered med/rare but came well done and burnt. Not very good all. The onion rings as a side were nice and crispy. The steak sandwich was not real steak but more of a steak-um type meat. Overall not a great meal. The place was clean but the bathrooms are typical bar bathrooms with graffiti all over the walls. This restaurant has a "A" health rating

Horrible service at the bar during the day. I don't know if the bartender feels like you are priviledged to her serve you while she waits for that acting gig thru

Nice place for lunch with good service. Food is good and not very expensive. A must try if you're looking something simple in the neighborhood.

Wonderful old fashioned tiles line the floor when I asked how old the place was, the waitress said from the 1800's but did know much else but that it used to be an all male bar. Nice staff told us to sit where ever. Rated A. The food ordered was ravioli in a cream sauce-this was very yummy. I shared a steak sandwich that had fresh onion on this smokey tasting steakUMs. It was paper thin and totally EWWWW. (steakums is not real meat) Next I shared 1/2 a burger- it was AWFUL, asked for med/well and got hard almost rising meatball not a hamburger. Also it was so charbroiled broiled I was spitting out the burn marks. The water was served warm and I had to ask for ICE. Not a good burger or steak sandwich.

A favourite of mine in SoHo. There's always an interesting character at the bar willing to impart some knowledge or just have a gereral chat. I like coming to this bar when I arrive in the city to get myself back into the NYC vibe. Bar staff are tough nuts to crack, but I wouldn't expect anything less. Have excellent no-nonsense food too.

Good burgers, decent wings, great service. Everything you'd want from a neighborhood pub.
