I stopped in here for a pre-duck tour snack with a friend and we loved the cocktails: Tom Collins and Moscow Mule. We also had appetizers, mine being a short rib egg roll and while it was delicious, it was so heavy. Too heavy before sitting down for ages. Otherwise, this is a pretty nice place to go to for after-work cocktails or even to host a small birthday celebration.

Forum's space went through a major upgrade to transform it from the Boylston bar that was Vox. The upstairs bar that used to block the windows was removed, and the space is now a gorgeous, bright dining room. Patio and bistro seating remain downstairs, and there is plenty of room to settle in at the bar. Forum is not inexpensive, but it's a total break from the Boylston norm, and the food and drinks are excellent. Get the blueberry whiskey smash, and take a good look at the appetizer options before you commit to an entree. For events, the communal table in the back of the bar makes an excellent gathering space and allows for guests to spill out around the bar, or the private dining room upstairs is a gorgeous option.

If I could rate this restaurant any lower, I would. I worked here for a very brief time in which I was not paid and worked under dangerous conditions. The only good staff here were on their way out the door since Chef Dan wanted to fire them and replace them with cheaper workers. Most of the kitchen utensils were dropped on the floor and then used to serve food to customers paying nearly $30 for a salad. It is definitely eat at your own risk until they replace the Chef who should know better than to serve unsanitary food to customers, especially those paying an exorbitant amount of money. Also, don't be surprised if you can find a lot of the same food at the Shaw's down the street. That's where they do their shopping for the restaurant (PB & J ice cream sound familiar?) Take your money elsewhere.

i love this place. i always sit in the bar area and mainly stick with the appetizers, but i did order the rib eye and thought it was cooked perfectly. as for the apps, enjoyed both the steak and tuna tartare, also the rib wings-- meat falls off the bone.
