Who knew that painting a three piece crown molding could be so involved. I thought I knew how to paint trim until reading this guest post from Ken @ Joy of Moldings.
Today we're featuring a guest article by Ken from The Joy of Moldings. Jennifer's kitchen is getting a top to bottom molding makeover. I just installed the crown molding and door trim (a Greek...

Great article on Reparing a Drywall Hole
Repairing drywall is a great do-it-yourselfer task because tools and materials are cheap, and there's very little risk (to you or the house). Plus, if you can master the repair, it's a skill t...

Want to know how to Epoxy Coat a garage floor? Ethan delivers a great step-by-step tutorial. This is an easy, relatively low-cost project that can be completed in just one weekend!

Ethan gives us a great hanging #drywall tutorial over on OPC. It's part one of a two part series. This is definitely a #homeimprovement job you can #diy .
If you're a regular reader, you'll recognize this is the part of our Pro-Follow series with contractor Steve Wartman as he and his crew work to remodel an unfinished basement. Now that the wal...

Check out these super cool owls!
I saw these beautiful wooden owls on Etsy and loved them, but they were so expensive – $80! So when one of my best friends was having her baby shower, I decided I would try to make them myself (with E...

If you're a regular reader, you know this detailed guide is the culmination of many days shadowing expert general contractor and carpenter Steve Wartman. I was on-site as he and his crew built thi...

This is a great subfloor leveling article we wrote last Summer. It covers using asphalt shingles and construction felt to prepare an uneven subfloor for hardwood installations.

Great restaurant. Ask for the wine cellar and kitchen tour.

Came here while we were vacationing in Disney. Excellent pizza. We had the Everything, Buffalo Chicken, and Cheese pizzas. Very good pizza. A few in our group had salads. Garden salad was a little small and would probably be better as a tossed salad. But that was minor. Bathrooms were clean which was a big plus.

I've gone here probably 5 times since the place opened 5 months ago. I really think the one negative review above must be about a different place. It's not the Fiero's I know. Here's what you need to know: Food is overall pretty great. The meat is high quality and the taste is decent. I have noticed that if you get something without sauce it's going to taste too dry (unless it's the pork). One commenter suggested this is because they don't offer sour cream and that makes sense. Also, Fiero's puts A LOT of meat into their burritos and tacos. Almost too much in my opinion, but if you like meat, you're going to like their burritos and tacos. For most people, two tacos will be enough for lunch, and three might be too much. I like the salads the best. I do wish they had a few more toppings for the salads, but overall they are pretty good. Price is on the higher side for a fast food meal. Figure a steak salad, or a steak rice bowl and a drink runs you just under $11. If you get chicken tacos and water, you can get lunch for right around $5.50.
