Hey +NIA Ops do we have a way to shut these kinds of spammers and scammers down?

Hey +NIA Ops this portal appears to be wedged. Scanners say it has 9 energy left in one reso, but standing atop it and hitting it with an X8 says it missed all resos.

Invalid Portal on Private Property (out in the middle of a farm) using image from another location that already has a legit portal.

"Eyota Mural"
Eyota, Minnesota, USA, North America
43.972991N  92.244383W  (approximately),-92.244383&z=18

This is an invalid portal for a couple reasons:
1. it's located out in the middle of a farm.
2. the image used to submit it is actually located in a nearby town.
  Seen here on google streetview:,-92.2291139,3a,75y,82.8h,81.79t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1soUxeJSBThPhTnReMjASjVg!2e0
3. It is duplicating an existing legit portal that is properly placed. "Main Street Mural" seen here:,-92.229094&z=18&pll=43.990166,-92.228968

Uh, +Niantic Project you might want to think about sending your "Ingress Starter Kit" email a little sooner than you are... Level 8 agents really don't need an explanation of the scanner... or a handful of L1 gear.

Great read!!
Everything is broken
Skip the techie parts of this post if you will, but read the rest! It'll give you an understanding of how unsafe our systems are. All of them.

The only thing you can be sure of is that every piece of equipment that contains software also contains bugs. Some are dangerous. Some are known. Some will never get fixed.

Written by people with either no time or no money, most software gets shipped the moment it works well enough to let someone go home and see their family. What we get is mostly terrible.

All computers are reliably this bad: the ones in hospitals and governments and banks, the ones in your phone, the ones that control light switches and smart meters and air traffic control systems. I don’t know all the details, but those who do are the most alcoholic and nihilistic people in computer security.

Just in time to be done with the project, I think I may have finally mastered wet mount scanning.
