Tracey O. has been with us August 2014. She works in all areas of the hospital but likes to work as the Veterinary assistant.
– How did you first learn about Stow Kent Animal Hospital/ Stow Falls Pet Clinic? My family has been bringing our pets here since 1994!

– What advice do you have for prospective Stow Kent Animal Hospital/ Stow Falls Pet Clinic candidates? Reference my movie line- It’s a hard job but extremely enjoyable!

– What is the favorite part about working for Stow Kent Animal Hospital/ Stow Falls Pet Clinic? I really enjoy building relationships with clients and the animals make it 100% better.

– What is your proudest moment from work? When I am able to place IV catheters in patients on the first try.

– What is your role at Stow Kent Animal Hospital/ Stow Falls Pet Clinic? Vet assistant
– Any favorite line from a movie? “Hold on to your butts” –Mr. Arnold Jurassic Park

– Any random facts you could share with us? Just ask: I love looking up random facts and watching documentaries.

– Do you have an office nickname? What is it? “Toe”, “Toe-Toe”, Dr. Vega called me “Dory”, Dr. Blankenship refers to me “Sup Tray”

– Do you recall any embarrassing moment at work?? Too many to remember; tripping over air, catching pets jumping off the table, running into techs and doctors.

– If you were an animal what would you be? Hyena- Kinda cute, Kinda ugly, and a little sassy.

– Tell us a little bit about your family. My kids (my dog Clyde and cat Samantha) bring complete joy to my life daily.

– What does a typical day look like for you? Fun times that range between 5 and 13 hours at work.

– What is the one thing you cannot resist? Food and laughing.

– What is the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten? I have tried the majority of treats at work. FYI Peanut Butter Pill Pockets do NOT taste like Peanut Butter.

– What is your hidden talent? I’m known for random “Golem” moments from Lord of the Rings as well as Velociraptor calls.

– You’d like to be famous for? Nothing; I’m already too great for the world- LOL- JK

– You’re happiest when? When I have a cat or dog or horse or an animal in my arms.

#FunFactFriday Baby Japanese Macaques make snowballs. They do not use them for any survival purposes, they just like to have fun. How cute are they!?!?!?!?

If you need a refill on any anxiety medications before the holiday please contact the office soon so the doctors have time to address all requests in a timely manner. You may also stop in to pick up products like Thundershirts and Adaptil any time during normal hours.

Be sure to check out these great tips to keep your pet safe this holiday! Most importantly make sure your pets microchip information is current and they are wearing prosper ID tags at all times! #4thOfJuly

Dr. Jeremy Blankenship is an associate veterinarian.
– How did you first learn about Stow Falls Pet Clinic? My aunt and uncle are good friends with Tom and Carm Albers, and they happened to mention waaay back in 2006 that they had a nephew in vet school. The rest is history!
– What advice do you have for a prospective Stow Falls Pet Clinic candidates? Be prepared to work hard but learn a lot, and generally have a pretty good time doing it.
– What is the favorite part about working for Stow Falls Pet Clinic? I enjoy teaching and finding ways to relate medical info to people of all different backgrounds and education levels.
– What is your proudest moment from work? Any time a big, risky surgery goes well. Mya, the pitty, comes to mind.
– What is your role at Stow Falls Pet Clinic? Officially: associate veterinarian. Unofficially: the older brother that wants you to learn valuable lessons, not just buy you ice cream.
– Any favorite line from a movie? “Negative Ghost-rider, the pattern is full.” – Top Gun.
– Any random facts you could share with us? Cats lack the taste buds for sweet.
– Do you have an office nickname? What is it? Most folks ‘round these parts just call me “B”
– Do you recall any embarrassing moment at work?? I was certain a stray cat was pregnant, so I ultra-sounded her to see how far along they were. Not pregnant, just worms, and HE had a big ol’ pair of testicles on the back!
– If you were an animal what would you be? Human counts amongst the animal kingdom- I’ll stick with this.
– Tell us a little bit about your family. My kids can best be described as “semi-feral”.
– What does a typical day look like for you? Spend an hour with what feels like a hostage negotiation getting my kids ready for school, come to work for 10-12 hours, go home and spend an hour with what feels like a hostage negotiation getting my kids ready for bed, then wonder where the day went.
– What is the one thing you cannot resist? Peanut butter.
– What is the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten? I’ve sampled most dog and cat treats- They’re not great.
– What is your hidden talent? Organizing things with spreadsheets.
– You’re happiest when? I’m happiest when the entropy of my local system approximates zero.

Brandy is a vet assistant, she has been with the practice since May 2016.

– How did you first learn about Stow Kent Animal Hospital/ Stow Falls Pet Clinic? I did a job shadow here for school. Then I did my externship here and never left.

– What advice do you have for prospective Stow Kent Animal Hospital/ Stow Falls Pet Clinic candidates? Be ready for anything. You never know when something unexpected will come up. Learn as much as you can.

– What is the favorite part about working for Stow Kent Animal Hospital/ Stow Falls Pet Clinic? Of course the animals. I like that there is so much to learn. It's definitely not as simple as vaccines all the time.

– What is your proudest moment from work? When a cat was here, and I was loving on him. Mom made the comment she was shocked since her cat isn't typically lovable. She said I must be a cat person.

– What is your role at Stow Kent Animal Hospital/ Stow Falls Pet Clinic?
Veterinary assistant. I help the Dr's, work at the front desk and anything else I can do.

– Any favorite line from a movie? I like movies, but can't say I have a favorite line.

– Any random facts you could share with us? A cat can have multiple fathers per litter.

– Do you have an office nickname? What is it? Beef

– Do you recall any embarrassing moment at work?? Getting diarrhea all down both sides (of course from a dog)

– If you were an animal what would you be? Bird

– Tell us a little bit about your family. I have a beautiful 6 year old daughter who is very full of life.

– What does a typical day look like for you? I get up, have a cup of coffee. Once I'm ready for work, I get my daughter up and ready for school.

– What is the one thing you cannot resist? Cats and puppy kisses

– What is the weirdest thing you've ever eaten? Pyrantel (A dewormer)

– What is your hidden talent? Cooking possibly

– You'd like to be famous for? I really wouldn't want to be famous.

– You're happiest when? Snuggling with my daughter after a busy day of work, school and play.

– Do you recall any embarrassing moment at work?? Getting my scrubs pants ripped.

– If you were an animal what would you be? A Red Panda

– Tell us a little bit about your family. I have 2 brothers, 1 sister. I’m the younger twin.

– What do you like most about your job? Getting to know patients and clients.

– What does a typical day look like for you? 0 to 100 really quick!
