Introduction
Mike Luery is an award-winning journalist with more than two decades of broadcasting experience. His investigative reports have exposed abuses in California’s funeral industry, puppy prisons in the Midwest and the Ku Klux Klan in Florida.

Mike started his second tour of duty at KCRA in April 2012. He was the Call 3 Reporter at KCRA from 1984 to 2000.

Always on the hunt for scams, frauds and government waste, Mike’s stories have provided viewers with important information about their rights -- while shining a spotlight on public wrongdoing.

Mike began his broadcasting career doing radio news in California and Connecticut and has also reported at television stations in Texas and Florida.

Mike was an investigative reporter for KOVR and also served for three years as NBC’s Capitol Bureau Chief in Sacramento, where he covered Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and reported political stories daily for a dozen NBC television stations.

Previously, Mike reported for television stations in Texas and Florida -- and began his broadcasting career doing radio news in California and Connecticut.

Mike is also a member of the Society for American Baseball Research -- and an author. His book, "Baseball Between Us" is the story of a father and son road trip he took with his son to visit every Major League Baseball stadium: 16 Years. 32 Ballparks. 43,000 Miles. It is now in bookstores, available as an e-book, and online at www.baseballbetweenus.com.
Mike is married to Carol and has a daughter, Sarah, and son, Matt.
