I love doing aerial photography. This photo is a view of Snapper Point on the Gold Coast of NSW taken last week. Really windy day, the pilot said it was almost too windy to fly and he was working hard to keep the chopper as still as possible for us.

More Gold Coast aerial photos are on my website @ http://goo.gl/YqYraj

Bondi Paddle Boarder. This aerial photo on Sydneys Eastern Beaches has gotten quite a bit of recent attention on my flickr account so I though I would share it with you.
Shot from an R44 chopper over Bondi Beach in December 2012 of a guy on a paddle board. Love these kinds of shot.
Canon 5D Mk II and the 400mm lens.
Here is my Eastern Beaches Gallery link if you want to see the other shots from the air. http://www.mattlauder.com.au/gallery.php?category=Eastern%20Beaches,%20Sydney

My films back from my trip to Perth over the Christmas / New Year period. This one is taken on my Fuji G617 panoramic camera after sunset at Cottesloe Beach. Shot off the rocks with the howling Fremantle Doctor wind at your back blowing sea spray everywhere. Well worth it.

Spent a day riding around Rottnest Island two weeks ago. Fighting off thousands of flies when ever you stopped. Worst I have ever seen and I grew up in the Pilbara. Anyway this is "The Basin" just a casual walk from the main Thompson Bay village.
Digital panoramic stitch on the 5D Mk II with a polariser.
The rest of my Rottnest Island images can be seen here:

I tried to shoot the popular Perth boathouse this evening but it was already occupied with a few tripods and squeezing in isnt my thing, but it was a blessing as over Perth city was an amazing rainbow. Shot it both on the G617 and 5DMk2. Can wait to process the shots from this trip.

Bathurst Lighthouse at Rottnest Island taken yesterday. Apart from all the bloody flies it was a successful trip. Wasn't able to shoot all the spots I wanted but certainly got enough to make a healthy online gallery section. (This shot was run through snapseed for iPhone. Great little app for editing shots.)
