First full day at Entim Camp...
We had a pretty successful morning drive.

Okay, so admittedly, I am really far behind on this blog. I have been putting it off because the entire trip was a comedy of errors and I wanted to figure out a way to write it without naming names or making anyone feel badly. At the same time there is a lot to be learned from what happened; ...

Travelling to Africa...
Africa
Travel day(s) Edmonton to Montreal- Smooth. We’re early
so we register our gear at customs. There are no line ups and we get on our
flight. 4 hours later we are in Montreal. Montreal to CDG, Paris- Another smooth
connection with a 90-minute connectio...
CDG Paris to Istanbul- Oh CDG; What a crazy place. When we were here in 2008 it took us 3 hours to get from one connection to the next. This time we walked for 30 minutes or so. From there we had to go through security and here they examine all of my gear lens-by-lens, camera-by-camera.

Antonio from Fit 'N' Well demonstrates an easy way to stretch your psoas (front of your hip), commonly referred to as hip flexors. It is common for these muscles to get tight. People with tight hip flexors may experience low back pain. Antonio demonstrates a comfortable way to stretch this muslce group.

I had two dvd's on hold. I waited for 15 minutes as both employees at the desk were busy with customers. I was waiting at the desk as the manager (the one in the white shirt) fixed his hair, then visited with his friend, then played with his friends baby. The entire time he avoided eye contact with me knowing full well that I hadn't been helped. Finally when I asked if he could please help me, he said someone would be available to help me soon. It had already been 15 minutes and I could tell the person beside me at least wasn't going to be done any time soon. Finally I got a little bit frustrated and told him I had two dvd's on hold and it would likely take 15 seconds of his time to open a drawer. Sure enough it took 15 seconds. If he had any idea of what customer service was my wait would have been under 5 minutes. The first time he saw that I needed help, rather than fixing his hair and talking to his friend and playing with his friend's baby, maybe, just maybe, he might want to consider um, TAKING CARE OF A CUSTOMER MAYBE!!?? And this from a manager! This store is only a few minutes from my house. Next time I need something I will make the drive to South Common. I would rather spend the 15 minutes driving rather than 15 minutes waiting.

I've had great service each time I have been there. I drop my car off, go to work and pick it up after work. Great people, great location. I would give it 5 stars, but there is one guy there who made me feel like I was inconveniencing him by me being there (more than once). When a customer enters your shop and you are the only customer there, if you are busy with something, it doesn't take any extra effort to make eye contact and say "I'm really busy right now, but someone will be with you in a minute." Rather than just ignoring me all together. I had no idea if I should say "excuse me" and get his attention or if he knew that someone would be helping me or if I should have sat down and waited and if I sat down would the next customer through the door get in before me when I was in a hurry to begin with? Other than that, the customer service I have received has always been exceptional and the mechanical work that has been done on my car has always been exceptional as well. Too bad for that one person at the desk who can't seem to find the time to look up and say "Good morning, I will be with you in a minute. In the meantime, if you would like to have a coffee and a seat, I will be with you momentarily".
