When Jazzy was brought in, she was emaciated, and suffered from a fractured pelvis. She had been in labor for hours but couldn't deliver her puppies due to her injury. Her situation quickly escalated into a medical emergency, so our team rushed her to surgery.

Visit www.sfspca.org/jazzy to watch Jazzy's transformation. When you sign up for a monthly donation by July 15th, your first year’s gifts will be matched to help twice as many animals in need. #Donate today! #GoJazzy

Roo, an SF SPCA alum, is going to be a movie star!! Roo was adopted and returned - twice - for being too rambunctious. She finally found her home with dog trainer Stacey Campbell, and this year Roo won Best All-American at the Westminster Kennel Club's agility competition! It was the first year they let mixed breed dogs compete. Congrats, Roo and Stacey! We can't wait to see you at the theater! Details: http://bit.ly/1gV3KIX

What's with you Americans and your dogs? In my country the Rooster is king! We use them for fighting. It's a part of our great culture. I'm so proud! We let dogs just run around and we never feed them. Rice is too important to give to dogs.. YEAH PINOY!! #Philippines

We're still on the hunt for the cutest canine in the Bay Area! Your votes have narrowed it down to the top 21, but these adorable pooches need you to keep voting if they want to be crowned the cutest dog in all the land. Thanks to the San Francisco SPCA and our loyal readers this is our most charming Dog Poll yet, so you shouldn't have any trouble scrolling through the photos, just try to keep the squealing to a minimum.
So, what are you waiting for? Vote for your favorite four-legged friend in the bunch, then check back on April 25th to see who advances through to the next round!
Mark your calendars for the rest of the competition.
4/25: Top 7 revealed
5/1: Winner announced
The prizes:
Top Dog prizes include a $100.00 gift card from the SF SPCA; a gift bag of doggie-centric items from Chronicle Books; a studio portrait session with Kira Stackhouse, the Bay Area's Best Pet Photographer ($500 value!); and the winning pooch will be featured in an upcoming issue of 7x7 magazine!
