Dozens of students at the State University of New York’s Geneseo campus have demanded that David Sorbello be fired, and the school’s president has announced an investigation. Sorbello, an adjunct lecturer, had earned a smattering of mostly positive online reviews from students in his time at Geneseo: clear instructions and snappy lectures that made his introduction-to-sociology classes fly by.

Wednesday’s topic was gender, sexuality and sexual identity, sophomore Jillian Sternberg told BuzzFeed. Somehow, this led to the quiz Sorbello put up on the screen.

Fatima Ahmad says Bill 62 could technically stop her from attending university, although she’s hoping that won’t happen since most of the faculty members she’s spoken to have said they’ll support her.

She also takes buses and the subway to get around, both to school and social engagements. In the future, she says she expects to have to stay home more often.

Warda Naili says she already stays home most of the time to avoid the discrimination she faces on the street.

Lawyers holding down jobs at large firms in the private sector, widely considered to be the most prestigious roles, were most likely to experience depressive symptoms. The larger the firm and the more lucrative the role, the more likely a lawyer was to experience depressive symptoms.

“It is very stressful,” said Noble Thomas, 24, a Confederation College student who came to Canada two years ago from India, adding that each week on strike represents a loss of roughly $800 in tuition fees, not to mention the additional money spent on rent if the semester is prolonged once faculty return to work.
