We're back!
It’s hard to believe that this is the fourth season of our crapcan Buick racer. This year, like for the last two years, we are starting off at Real Hoopties of New Jersey, at New Jersey Motor…

Bentley wagon, anyone? Only $160,000.
Estate, Avant, Touring, Kombi, it is amazing how many ways there are to say wagon. In my fake Bentley post two weeks ago Manic_King posted a picture of a non-fake Bentley wagon. Like woah, one of s…

And why I don't love it...
The new LEGO Technic Porsche 911 GT3, Lego model number 42056, is officially coming this summer! …And it looks a little weird. As someone who was obsessed with LEGO as a child, an obsession t…

I previously thought these were overpriced, but you mention the size. That's pretty big and a regular model of similar size, that isn't Lego based, I've seen go for 4 or 5 figures. Also, that Caterham is amazing!

It's pricey, but it's not GTI with some mods, it's a very different car.
About a year ago I drove a VW GTI. Based on everything I have read about it, I should have been in love. But there I was, on the twisty Merritt Parkway, in the middle of the night, feeling rather i…

I love these...
Each year Jeep holds the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah. Each year they take it as an opportunity to showcase some very cool, yet almost production-ready, vehicles. This year is no different, exc…

I like this thing, it's very honest.
Each year automakers try to outdo one another in various ways: fastest, roomiest, bestest MPG, best in class this, leading that, and most dynamic. And then there is Subaru who seems to march to the…

Next month I'll be attending an MIT technical conference. The topic is "The Intersection of Technology and Design", where the panel will be discussing the trends and challenges of autonomous technology and design.

For it be truly successful, the very clever people at MIT are conducting a quick survey of what people, all people, not just "car people" think about the autonomous car technology.

Direct link to the survey is here:
https://qaz1.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe1/form/SV_encKfK0llUeSHjL

Or you can read my whole article on TTAC:
http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/…/hot-cold-mit-wants-view…/

I'd appreciate if y'all (ok, some of you!) could take this survey.
Thanks!
Do you trust your car? Researchers at MIT want to know your thoughts on automated vehicle functions.

I need this on my 4Runner!
This comes from the why-the-hell-didn’t-I-think-of-this file. It is basically an track add-on kit for that will work on many SUVs and pickup trucks. It is made by Track-N-Go. Other videos her…

I'm slowly closing out this series...
Going back to the communist times, the few cars that were available to the people of Poland were of Eastern Bloc production: Polish Fiats, Ladas, Skodas, Wartburgs, and many others that we have cov…

I have seen exactly one of those Nissan Stanza hatchback coupes in the US. It was the same tan color. I think I was ~12 at the time.

And now for something different. Buses.
Electric buses, to be specific and how reality differs from so-called studies and media's reports of these articles.
“I’m probably preaching to the choir here, but EVs are great,” John Beltz Snyder boldly writes in the opening sentence of Autoblog’s “More research shows why EVs are awesome” article. For more than 15 years, when not writing about cars, I’ve worked in the public transportation sector. With the exception of the two years I spent as an …

the process to fill up a 125-gallon tank takes significantly less time than even the fastest electrical charging, which the study erroneously states to be an hour.

What's wrong with this picture?
There was a time in my life when I considered myself a Bimmer guy, a Propeller-head, as some of them are called. I owned seven BMWs in total, new and used, from a base E36 318iS, to a wagon, to an …
